The 7th Annual Lake Martin 100
The 2020 Lake Martin 100 will be held March 28th & 29th at Russell Crossroads, on Lake Martin, one of America's most beautiful lakes. The run will be entirely on the private lands of the Russell Forest Trail System near Alexander City, in East-Central Alabama. This race will be the perfect "First" 100 or 50 mile trail race. Race planning is easy. With four 25 mile loops on rolling hills and very runnable trails planning is a snap. 100% of the course is on trails, carriage paths and gravel roads, most of which do not allow cars. Approximately 80% of the run is on single track trails. Several miles of each loop are along the shores of the Lake Martin and creeks flowing into the lake. While the Lake Martin races are all excellent first ultras, it is not an easy course. The 100 will have about 13,000 feet of elevation gain. The hills may be small but they never stop. Be prepared!
The Aid Stations: Standard aid station food and Tailwind will be available at both aid stations all day and all night. We will add sandwiches, hot soup and quesadillas in the afternoon. An assortment of hot food, coffee, hot chocolate and chicken and pasta soup will be available at the Cabin and Heaven Hill Aid Stations starting about dark and continuing all night. The Cabin will add Santa Fe Soup and bacon, eggs and waffles during the early morning hours. The grill will remain open with fresh, hot food until the last finisher crosses the finish line.
All one hundred mile finishers will receive hand crafted, custom belt buckles. Fifty and twenty seven mile finishers will earn custom finisher medals. Place awards will be given out as runners finish their perspective races.
The Lake Martin 100 is destined to become the standard for first 100s and first 50s.

Lodging and Pre-Race Dinner
We have reserved 44 rooms at Harbor Lodge in Children's Harbor for the Lake Martin 100. The Lodge is located on the Lake at the Kowaliga Bridge just 3 miles from the start. This is also the location of the iconic Lake Martin Lighthouse. Rooms at Harbor Lodge are basic and clean with a private bath, screen porches across the back facing the lake. Each room has a private entrance. You will be reserving a room but the rooms are priced per person. They rent for $56 per person per night with Friday and Saturday night required. That's very reasonable lodging for one or two people. Each room sleeps 5 but if you will have more than two registering I suggest getting two rooms. Reserve a room on the website Lake Martin 100 Harbor Lodge Reservations
Harbor Lodge is also the location of the pre-race dinner Friday night. The dinner is $13 per person including $2 gratuity. You may order the number of meals you wish while registering through Ultrasignup or add the meals later. To do that, Register for the race, add the meals and delete the race at checkout. We will also have breakfast available for all runners and crew members staying at Harbor Lodge. The price is $5 per person.
We understand that things happen in the weeks and months prior to an ultra that make it impossible to participate. Our policy will be to offer a full refund on any of the Lake Martin races through February 28th, 4 weeks prior to the race. From February 29rd through March 9th, if the race fills to it's 300 runner capacity, we will giver refunds as we add additional runners from the wait list. If it does not fill, we will be happy to roll your entry over to the next year. If the race is canceled due to conditions beyond our control, such as natural disasters, we will give a full refund through February 28th. After February 28th, we will roll entries over to the next years race or you may use the credit toward another Southeastern Trial Runs Race.
