Just like always, this year we will be combining the half marathon with the Antelope Island 50K. We’re going to start this race at the Fielding-Garr Ranch at 9am. You will finish at the White Rock Bay trailhead. So, park at the ranch in the equestrian parking, not the main lot, and we’ll provide transport back so you can get your car. Same four aid stations, same course as always. Added bonus, homemade buffalo chili at the finish. So, look forward to some flat and fast single track for the first 11 miles, then some dirt road to the finish.
I don’t do them….period…..don’t ask….I think they’re stupid…..everyone pays the same price unless you register late, then you’ll pay more than your buddy because you procrastinated.
Not doing refunds or rollovers for this race. Transfers ain't happening either. Here's the deal, the race is fairly small, entry fees stay with this year's event, transfers are a pain in the butt.
We'll have four aid stations set up. They'll have water, some sort of sports drink (probably whatever was left over from the Buffalo Run), and hopefully some gels at one aid station. Don't count on the gels though. We highly recommend that you carry a bottle with you.
Stuff you get
What do you get for running the race? Well, you get free entry on to the island. We'll toss in some sort of tech shirt with the really cool race logo on it. Last year we gave away prize money to the top three men and women. It wasn't much, but at least we gave some out. We'll also have some buffalo chili for runners and family (family costs a little bit extra, like $5 each). Oh, and we'll give you a ride back to the Ranch to pick up your car. Are we nice or what?
Your bib is your pass on to the island this year. If you carpool with your friends with the family planning coming out later, the family will have to pay the entrance fee. The park makes up these rules, not me.
