This year opt out, or at least delay Black Friday shopping with a crazy fun run!
A Run Through the Woods is an adventuresome, comedic trail run in it's purest form! Join us and other runners in a 5K, 10K or 15K winding single track trail course through Whitemarsh Preserve. The trail is moderately technical for a run so keep your eyes peeled for grabbing roots and terrain changes. It is a pet friendly course, so your loved, leashed canines are welcome. You may also run into wildlife in their natural habitat like snakes, insects, squirrels, and the occasional Big Foot. To add to this years fun we encourage costumes or fun garb. Once all the runners are finished there is the customary beating of the piñata.

Course:
The course is marked with surveyor flags. Keep an eye out for these flags. If you follow the flags you will not get lost nor inadvertently run the wrong course. The main entrance gate to Whitemarsh Preserve (on Johnny Mercer Blvd, just north of the Bryan Woods and Johnny Mercer blvd intersection) will be open. Please drive slowing up the fire road until you reach the clearing. A parking attendant will direct you where to park. At the start/finish there will be an aid station providing water, gels, bananas, oranges, peanut m&m's, dates and insects.
