The Horse Lake Half-Marathon, 7-Mile and 5-Mile Trail Runs are held on the 1,700-acre Horse Lake Reserve, located in the Wenatchee Foothills near the city of Wenatchee, and owned by the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust. This 6th-annual trail run event is again a fundraiser for the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust. Proceeds will be go directly to trail construction and maintenance at the Horse Lake Reserve.

Course description: The trail runs utilize the Homestead, Apricot Crisp and Glacier View trails. These trails are nicely graded single and double track. The half-marathon course also incorporates old ranch roads for a very challenging course.
Start times: 8 a.m. for the half-marathon trail run; 8:30 a.m. for the 7-mile; and 8:45 a.m. for the 5-mile trail runs.
Start lines: Horse Lake Reserve Trailhead, 3 miles northwest of Wenatchee at the end of Horse Lake Road, owned and managed by the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust.
Finish lines: Horse Lake Reserve Trailhead
Packet pickup: 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018, at Pybus Public Market, 7 Worthen St., Wenatchee; and from 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Horse Lake Reserve Trailhead.
In-person registration: 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018, at Pybus Public Market, 7 Worthen St., Wenatchee. Please note: There is no day-of-race registration on Saturday.
Parking and race shuttles: Parking is limited (approximately 80 spots) at the Horse Lake Reserve where the event will take place. So RunWenatchee has arranged for a shuttle service from the Wal-Mart parking lot, 2000 N. Wenatchee Ave., to the race site and then back afterwards on Saturday. The shuttle schedule: 7 a.m. — Shuttles with half-marathon runners depart; 7:40 a.m. — Shuttles with 5-Mile and 7-Mile runners depart.
Course note: These trails are open to all users during the event, so if a runner encounters a mountain biker or a hiker, please give the other user the right of way.
Runner premiums: Each participant will receive a unique finisher’s medal and a free yearly membership to the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust.
Post race food: There will be food and liquid refreshment available for all runners at the finish area.
Individual awards: Top male and female finishers in each race will receive awards.
