Description
The Wasatch Front 100 Mile Endurance Run is held in Utah the first Friday and Saturday after Labor Day each year. The run stretches from East Mountain Wilderness Park (above Kaysville), Utah to Soldier Hollow in Midway, Utah and covers some of the most beautiful scenery the Wasatch Mountains have to offer. There is a cumulative elevation gain of approximately 24,000 feet, as well as a cumulative loss of approximately 23,300 feet throughout the course. This is a premier run that will test the endurance of any runner.
If you have any questions about your registration or the race in general please direct them to us at info@wasatch100.com rather than Ultra Signup.
Course
The Wasatch 100 is a point-to-point run that traverses the heart of the central Wasatch Mountains, one of the most beautiful ranges of the Rocky Mountains. The course begins in Kaysville, Utah at East Mountain Wilderness Park, goes south to the mouth of Bair Canyon at the foot of Francis Peak and climbs steeply to the ridge line above. The trail turns south and follows the top of the Wasatch range past Francis Peak, through Farmington Flats, across Arthur's Fork, along the Sessions Ridge and over City Creek Pass to the aid station at Big Mountain Pass. The route continues over Bald Mountain until it makes several turns to arrive at the aid station at the Lambs Canyon I-80 exit. Then, the course goes up Lambs Canyon, down and then up Mill Creek Canyon, up past Dog and Desolation Lakes, and along the Wasatch Crest trail to Brighton. The course climbs up Katherine and Sunset Passes, down American Fork Canyon, and up to Pole Line Pass and Baker Pass. From Baker Pass the course goes around Mill Creek Peak through the "Glide" and the "Plunge", and down to the Pot Hollow Canyon trail head. It then climbs to join the OHV dirt road known as Cummings Parkway, heads south along the mountain ridge above Heber Valley, crosses the Cascade Springs Road until reaching the head of Decker Canyon. At that point runners descend through Decker Canyon to the Deer Creek Reservoir Trail, which leads to the finish at the Pavilion at Soldier Hollow in Wasatch Mountain State Park, Utah.
There are 15 aid stations along the race course, including the finish line, to support the runners. We are pleased to be able to continue our partnership with GNARLY Nutrition who provides the electrolyte drink at each of the aid stations.
