COVID-19

We are so excited that this race is happening but we must take appropriate precautions. If you have felt sick, are feeling sick, have been around someone who was COVID positive, have been out of the country recently, have a cough, shortness of breath, or fever, please do not come to the race. Please leave friends and family at home. If you have any doubts AT ALL about running, please remove yourself via Registration History.

Packet PU- WEAR A MASK! We will be taking your temperature at packet pick up on Friday and Saturday using a temporal scanner. We will be outdoors in the R/C Northshore parking area.

RACE START:
We will have a staggered start of ten runners with one minute in between. This will help establish good ‘positions’ and will help limit the need to pass along the single track. The race courses do start along wide roads which will also help participants enter the singletrack with good spacing/positions. We will go off of chip time. YOU MUST WEAR A MASK AT THE STARTING LINE.

DURING THE RACE/AID STATIONS:
Aid stations will have individually wrapped food- pretzels, chips, oatmeal creme pies, peanut butter crackers, gogo squeez apple/banana applesauce, cookies, Honey Stinger gels and possibly Spring and Huma gels, Powerade, and water. Please plan to be as self-contained as possible during the race. Avoiding visits to aid stations will help minimize close contact with fellow racers. DROP BAGS WILL BE ALLOWED AT SNOOPERS ROCK AS & MULLENS COVE AS.

At all aid stations, water and Powerade will be poured by our volunteers directly into your hydration bladder or water bottle. This will help eliminate individual contact with the water coolers. All volunteers will wear masks and gloves during aid station preparation and during the race, and tables will be wiped down with disinfectant. YOU MUST CARRY A BUFF OR MASK AT ALL TIMES. YOU MUST WEAR ONE WHEN COMING INTO CLOSE CONTACT WITH OTHERS.

POST RACE: Signal Mountain has soccer fields that will be marked with distancing spaces. Please find a space to sit and enjoy your post race meal. We cannot have you gathering in the pavilion. YOU MUST WEAR A MASK AFTER THE RACE UNLESS EATING OR DRINKING.

Please, please, please do not bring friends and family. As much as we love a good party, this isn't the year for it.
