The Miocene Epic Endurance Challenge is a brand new trail race on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Calvert County, Maryland. The event will take place at Calvert Cliffs State Park in Lusby, Maryland. The race consists of a 5 mile loop where runners will have up to 6 hours or 9 hours to run as much or as little as they would like. All runners will receive a Miocene Epic pint glass and post-run barbeque. Runners will have the option at registration checkout to enter the Challenge Division (see below).
Calvert Cliffs State Park is located at 10540 H. G. Trueman Road, Lusby, MD, 20657. Each loop begins and ends at the picnic pavilion. The race starts at 9am and will end at 3pm for 6 hour runners, and 6pm for 9 hour runners. The park opens at dawn (~7am) leaving runners with plenty of time to park, check in, and relax before the start.
Parking & Park Entry
Runners can park in any available space within Calvert Cliffs State Park. Runners will be responsible for paying the entry fee of $5 for Maryland residents or $7 for non-Maryland residents.
