Sierra Vista Trail Runs presented by Southern New Mexico Trail Alliance
The Southern New Mexico Trail Alliance brings you the 8th annual running of the Sierra Vista Trail Runs. This event serves as the primary fundraiser for the Southern New Mexico Trail Alliance- 501 (c)(3). Southern New Mexico Trail Alliance
For 2019, we are adding a 100k distance so runners can travel the entire length of the Sierra Vista Trail. We are replacing the 30k distance with a half-marathon. There will be distances of 100k, 50k, Half-marathon, 10k, 5k, and 1 mile kid’s fun run.
We keep registration low to make trail racing financially accessible for more people. As always, race registration requires the donation of an old pair of shoes. Bring the shoes to packet pick up or race day. Donated shoes will be offered to the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope, http://www.mvcommunityofhope.org/.
50k and 100k registration includes a unique t-shirt designed by a local artist and a finishers award. T-shirts can be ordered for $15 extra for the other distances. If you want a T-shirt please register early. Sizes cannot be guaranteed after February 12, 2019. Extras will be ordered but sizes and quantities will be limited and available on a first come first serve basis. There will be awards for top three men and women in all distances. Post race food will be provided.
The 100k, 50k, and Half will take place on Saturday, March 2nd. The 10k, 5k, and Kids run will be Sunday, March 3rd. All distances will start at the Sierra Norte trailhead off of Dripping Springs Road. The 100k will begin at 6AM, 50k will begin at 7AM, and Half at at 8:00AM
The 10k will begin at 9:30AM 5k at 9:45AM and kid's fun run at 10:10AM.
All proceeds will be donated to the
