Registration Update

Thank you to all who have signed up. We have filled our roster (albeit a slightly smaller one due to COVID-19) in one week !

If you would still like to join us in November, we have reserved 5 slots for the MILES FOR MARSOC Community Athlete Program. Learn more at : https://marineraiderfoundation.org/get-involved/race/

In addition to your entry fee of $100, you will join our Tideland 24 Fundraising team and commit to raising $750 for the Marine Raider Foundation. If you are like me and fundraising isn’t in your comfort zone, the Foundation has some great tools to assist you.

If interested, please contact me directly or via the “Ask a Question” button at the bottom of this page.

We are proud to have donated over $10,000 to the Marine Raider Foundation since 2016 and see this as an opportunity to take our efforts to the next level. We look forward to hearing from you.

2021 Race Update

Our event is a GO for November 6, 2021 ! We missed everyone last November and look forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones this year.

We are currently working with the U.S. Forest Service to finalize our Special Event Permit. A requirement for this year is a COVID-19 Operating Plan which is posted on our website : https://www.tideland24.com/logistics-1.

All participants must review the COVID-19 Operating Plan and acknowledge they agree to follow the policies and procedures detailed within prior to completing registration. It can be summarized as follows (but you are still required to read it in its entirety) : we'll follow the guidelines established by the CDC and work within state and local requirements. No matter how inconvenient these policies may seem, they give us the best chance to keep each other safe during this challenging time and afford us the privilege of spending 24 hours on the scenic Tideland National Recreation Trail.

We will do everything possible to (1) host our event as scheduled this year, (2) do so in a safe manner for all participants, race staff, and volunteers, and (3) focus on helping each participant achieve their goals.

It never gets old saying this : the safety of our participants, race staff, and volunteers is our #1 priority.

Overview

A fully supported 24 hour ultramarathon in the Croatan National Forest.

All proceeds benefit the Marine Raider Foundation. To learn more about this great organization's impact visit https://marineraiderfoundation.org

Our goal is simple : Provide a first-class event for all participants. We'll do everything possible to support you as you work to achieve your goals on this beautiful course.

Participants will cover the scenic Tideland National Recreation Trail, a USATF certified 1.37779 mile loop, as it meanders through the White Oak River and its adjoining salt marsh and forest. The course includes various bridges (aluminum and wooden) and a well-groomed trail consisting of crushed gravel with minimal trip hazards and elevation gain.

Awards will be presented for Top 3 Male and Female, as well as Top Active Duty, performances and all who complete 100 miles will receive a 100 Mile belt buckle.

In 2021, we are pleased to again partner with the MILES FOR MARSOC Community Athlete Program. By running to support the Marine Raider Foundation you will raise funds to support Raiders and their families and we'll waive your entry fee. Please contact the Race Director for details.

Please join us and run or walk as much as you like. And don't forget to take a moment to enjoy the view ! The tides are constantly changing and wildlife is abundant in and around the marsh.
