About the Devil's Slide Run
Are you ready to have a "devilishly" good time while supporting a great cause? The Devil's Slide Run features four challenging and spectacularly beautiful routes that will satisfy anyone from the novice hiker to the hard core trail junkie. Distances range from a 4K run/hike to our challenging 30K trail run with an evil 4,250' of climbing! All of the routes feature stunning views of the San Mateo coastline, and the Half Marathon and 30K routes include the "Alta Vista Trail," a cruel and beautiful trail that climbs 1200' in just over a mile, and is normally off-limits to organized events!
Local time: 5:23 AM
Your registration includes a cool finisher's medal, an evil set of devil horns, and an all-you-can-eat lunch afterwards! Custom-designed tech tees are available for an additional charge. Proceeds from the event directly benefit PARCA, a local nonprofit whose programs help people with developmental disabilities lead more satisfying and independent lives. About the name: The "Devil's Slide" is a name given to a steep, rocky coastal promontory located about midway between Montara and the Linda Mar District of Pacifica. This spectacular section of coastline is beautiful but has been plagued with landslides which ultimately led to the closing and rerouting of Highway 1 around the slide.
