Description
We are celebrating our 27th Anniversary in 2025! The Bear 100 is a cool, Autumn point to point 100 Mile race. It is a beautiful run through the Pines, Golden Aspen and Red Maples of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest of Utah, the Bear River Range of Utah & Idaho and finishing at Bear Lake.
The Bear 100 is a Hardrock and Western States 100 qualifier and is an UTMB index race.
Requirements for 2025
2025 Details
Race Day is Friday September 26, 2025 6am - 36 hr cutoff
Registration opens Dec 1, 2024 at 8am MST.
Registration is first-come, first-served. We expect it to fill quickly. We will have a waiting list that will cap at 500 entrants. In 2024, the first 200 on the waiting list either got invited or withdrew.
You must complete a 50 miler in under 16 hours or complete any 100K, 100 or 200 Miler under the cutoff before running The Bear 100. In order to register for the 2025 event you must have completed the requirement within the last 4 years prior to registering
(qualifying window December 1, 2020 - December 1, 2024).
Race management also reserves the right to deny entry to anyone for any reason.
You are also required to perform 8 hours of service (trail work or volunteer at an ultra) to run The Bear 100. The window of service begins September 26, 2024 until the deadline on September 15, 2025. The service requirement isn't required to be completed prior to registering.
