Mt. Hood Meadows
The race is staged at Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort on the southeast side of the mountain and is a fantastic, family-friendly venue. Event parking, pre-race check-in and the post-race celebration will all take place at their main lodge and patio area, in full view of the mountain. The 100K will start and finish here, while the 50K runners check-in here, then ride Mt. Hood Meadows shuttle buses to their race start line and finish back on the mountain at Mt. Hood Meadows. Car camping will be allowed in the main parking lot the Friday night before the race for a small fee upon arrival.
Mt. Hood gets a 100K! The 100K is an out and back course starting and finishing at Mt. Hood Meadows. The course involves 11,600' of ascent and 11,600' of descent, for a true mountain ultra trail challenge. Refer to the race website for in depth course details.
The 50K is a gorgeous and fun point-to-point course starting on Surveyor's Ridge, east of the mountain. The course follows ridgeline trails, some rugged double track jeep roads, then more exquisite single track, including the Timberline Trail back onto Mt. Hood for the finish on the main lodge patio at Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort. Four full aid stations are offered. The course involves 6500' of ascent and 5100' of descent.
