This race is redesigned for your suffering pleasure. New courses for the 50K challenge, 26K challenge and 25K fun run will be announced soon( I promise this course is much more gentle than the 26k challenge course.) The 10K route will be the same as last year.
We are also redesigning the aid station/ volunteer program I want to make this trail run an experience you will talk about for years to come!! I am looking for ambitious, fun, and driven people to operate our aid stations. We are looking for groups of 3 to 4 people to rock each aid station at each race. I want creative themed aid stations like a concert aid station, G.O.T. station, donut aid station, pub aid station, redneck aid station, well you get it. Any theme you can dream up. Trail Maniacs will provide the food and necessary equipment for the aid station, your group will provide the costumes, decorations and great experience for the runners. These aid stations would then compete for best of race. The runners would vote for the one they liked best and Trail Maniacs will donate a portion of our proceeds to the non-profit or school of your choice. Trail Maniacs is excited to announce this year that we will be teaming up with Fleet Feet CDA to help kids and teens earn free running shoes. We at Trail Maniacs feel that running can be a life-long sport, and good running shoes are a small part in running longevity. We also know that a good pair of running shoes can be cost prohibitive and that’s why we would like to donate a free pair of running shoes (one pair per year) to youth and teens. Most of you know that we have always donated money to local high school cross country programs, and we will continue with that tradition, but we also wanted to step it up a notch.
We are pleased to announce that starting in 2019 Trail Maniacs and Fleet Feet CDA will give youth and teen runners (ages 12 to 18) a free pair of shoes (one pair per year)! Runners will need to finish two of any our 2019 running event. These events include: Liberty Lake Trail Run, Farragut Trail Run, Mount Spokane Vertical Challenge, even 7 Summits if they dare! Any distance qualifies with the exception of our FREE kids races.
I am looking forward to hanging out with all of you and if you have not run with Trail Maniacs you’re in for a treat. You see we are about the friendships and companionship that trail running gives, we are not about a race medals or trinkets. I think the memories and free race photos are priceless.

- 6:45 am 26K Challenge and 50K pre-race briefing
- 7:00 am 26K Challenge and 50K start
- 8:45 am 25K fun run pre-race briefing
- 9:00 am 25K fun run start
- 9:15 am 10K pre-race briefing
- 9:30 am 10K start
- 10:30 am food and post-race tailgate party provided by The Local Deli in Hayden
- 11:00 Free kids race (less than one mile)
Location: Selkirk lodge, Mt. Spokane State Park.
Mt. Spokane State Park has one main entrance at the end of State Road 206, otherwise known as Mt. Spokane Park Drive, about 15 miles east of U.S. Hwy 2. The Park office is just inside the boundary on the left. The Selkirk lodge is a little over 3 1/4 miles up the paved road from the main entrance. Follow the main road to the top where the summit road goes left and the road to the alpine ski area goes straight and downhill. The road leading up to the Selkirk Lodge and the ski trails is to the right, at the back of the large overflow parking lot.

* 26K Challenge early registration $60.00. After 3/1/19 $70.00. If not sold out day of race $75.00.
*25K fun run early registration $55.00. After 3/1/19 $65.00. If not sold out day of race $60.00
*10K early registration $30.00. After 3/1/19 $40.00. If not sold out day of race $45.00
This cost includes free food and drink at the finish line. All 50K and 26K challenge finishers receive a “Finishers” pint glass.
Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering. Without volunteers, races simply cannot happen! If you would like to volunteer please contact the Race Director.
We have multiple ways to help.
1. Earn money for your high school cross country team:
Bring a minimum of 7 volunteers from your team and Trail Maniacs will donate cash to your team. Contact the Race Director for more information.
2.Volunteer at an earlier race >> You get a FREE entry for any Trail Maniacs race of your choosing.

3. Volunteer for Washington Trail Association, Idaho Trail Association, Evergreen East or Lake City Trail Alliance. All you need to do is have your volunteer hours documented and signed off by the trail organization you worked with and send it to us. Its simple: 1 hour worked is worth $10 off your race entry. 2 hours worked worth $20 off your race entry, etc. Please note that in order to volunteer for Lake City Trail Alliance you do need to be a member (this is due to their insurance purposes.)
Registration/ cancellation policy
Thank you for a choosing Trail Maniacs. We are a small, grassroots event company owned and directed by one person. Our race entry fees are non-refundable; however we want to provide an opportunity for our runners to still participate in our series should you need to withdraw from a particular event, so we have designed the following deferral policies to support for our runners.
Bibs are non-transferable to another runner under any circumstance.
You can move down in race distances up until the day of the event & no credits will be issued if you move down.

If you are unable to attend an event and you notify us more than 60 days out, we can arrange a 100% deferral of fees, towards another event in our series, providing it is NOT SOLD OUT. This deferral is only redeemable within one calendar year from the time you contact us. You can use this deferral policy towards any other race or the same race one year later. They can also only be deferred once, to a single event and multiple requests will be declined.
If you are unable to attend an event and you notify us more than 30 days out, we can arrange a 50% deferral of fees, towards another event in our series, providing it is NOT SOLD OUT. This deferral is only redeemable within one calendar year from the time you contact us. You can use this deferral policy towards any other race or the same race one year later. They can also only be deferred once, to a single event and multiple requests will be declined.
30 days before race day there will be no refunds. No deferrals. No exceptions. Thank you for your cooperation
