Start & Time Limit
100 Mile and 100K 6 AM start; 30-hour time limit. 50 Mile 7 AM start; 29-hour time limit. 50K 8 AM start; 28-hour time limit. Turnaround (halfway point) cutoffs of 14 hours for the 100 Mile entrants, 13 hours for the 50 Mile entrants and 12 hours for the 50K entrants. along with aid station cutoffs on the inbound leg of both races. The finish cutoffs are a STRICT cutoff, meaning if you are one second over, you will not be listed as an official finisher or receive the finisher belt buckle.

The Prairie Spirit Trail is a beautiful "rails-to-trails" course that runs through numerous quaint little towns. Runners will do an out-and-back, beginning in Ottawa, KS and traveling south to Iola (100 milers), Welda (100Kers), Garnett (50 milers) or Richmond (50K), then, back north to the finish. The course is primarily on a crushed limestone trail, with asphalt paths as you travel through each town. Manned and unmanned aid stations will be approximately every 5 miles (with no greater distance than approximately 6 miles) and the course is easily accessible to crew. It's a great event for first timers, as it's a flat and relatively easy course. It's also the perfect course for experienced runners wanting to set a PR. The atmosphere will be family friendly with plenty of places for your crew to hang out and relax while cheering you on. Pacers will be allowed for the second half of the all events.
Aid Stations: Manned aid stations are fully-stocked with water, electrolyte drink & snack-type foods, including soup & sandwiches, unmanned aid stations with water only. Approximate distance between aid stations is 5 miles with no distance greater than a little over 9 miles between manned aid stations, all manned aid stations will have drop bag access..

Race headquarters is at Celebration Hall, located at 1737 South Elm. Ottawa, KS 66067. Packet pick-up and drop-bag (drop-off) will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday evening March 27th.
Our pre-race meal will be served from 5-6:30 PM on Friday evening at Celebration Hall. Not-Your-Average-Race-Pasta, All-you-can-eat (Non-meat option, Gluten-Free option, or lots of meat with Italian seasonings) Served with crisp and buttery fresh garlic bread, salad, cake, ice tea, lemonade, water. This meal is included in your registration for all runners.
The Post-Race Meal is be a variety of Breakfast Food made-to-order, and leftover pasta!
Late packet pick-up Saturday morning, March 27th starting at 4:30am.

There are several different hotels to choose from in Ottawa, KS, with none of them being any further than 10-15 minutes maximum from Celebration Hall (staging location).
The Ottawa Comfort Inn is offering special rates for runners. These rates can be obtained by making reservations over the phone (785-242-9898) and using code: “ULTRA RATE”.
The Comfort Inn owner and staff really take care of our ultrarunners each season! They get their breakfast started early on race morning and are very responsive to any requests.

Notification more than a month before the event: The dollar amount paid can be deferred to the following year's event (or another event upon Race Director's discretion).
Notification within 4 weeks to 2 weeks before the event: Half of the dollar amount paid can be deferred to the following year's event (or another event upon Race Director's discretion).
Notification after 2 weeks before the event: No deferrals
Transfers of registration to another participant are only allowed for the originally registered event. Race directors must be notified by email more than one week before the event. Race Directors have the discretion to approve or deny a registration transfer.
At the Race Director's discretion, a percentage of the registration fee may be refunded via the registration site based on the date notified, race supplies purchased, etc.
