Orcas Magic

The Orcas Island 50k is unique in the trail running world, with old-growth forests, tough climbs, and spectacular views of surrounding islands, mountains, and Puget Sound! People say Orcas Island is a bit magical and after running these trails, with the massive fir trees, moss covered rocks, babbling creeks, and hidden waterfalls, we think you will find it a bit magical as well!

This loop course has approximately 8400 ft of elevation gain and has four fully stocked aid stations, at miles 6.4, 14.2, 20.6, and 25.8.
Runners will have 9 hours to complete the course.

Lottery

The lottery will be open from July 15th, 2019 to July 25th, 2019. Any runner interested in participating in the race needs to add their name to the lottery during this period. Once the lottery closes on July 10th, we will draw names and announce the results no later than August 1st. Post Race Festivities

None of the Rainshadow Running events offer finisher medals, but instead we put that money towards free beer (and non alcoholic drinks), free handmade pizza, and live music for all runners, their friends and family, and volunteers. We strive to create a sense of community where runners can stick around, share trail stories, and cheer on their fellow runners.

Our amazing pizza crew, Pizza Rocks, can accommodate any dietary request (vegan, gluten free, vegetarian) so let them know your preferences and they will make a special pizza just for you!

If you would like to add on a technical or thrift store style shirt with the race logo, you can do so during registration or click the STORE button above to add one on up to 45 days before the race!
