This event has now gone virtual! The Cedro Peak Run is hosted by Support Trail Adventure Running (STAR) and features three distances, 50K, Full Marathon and a 1/2 Marathon plus new this year, a 10K burro event!
Local time: 5:45 PM
Starting on June 19th thru Jun 22nd, you can run/walk/jog or even treadmill at any location and time of your choice.
You can break these distances up over multiple days. For example: 5 miles on the 19th, 4 miles on the 20th etc. Keep in mind the clock starts as soon as you participate, so your results will be total time and not just moving time. You will need to document your activity by using a GPS watch, Strava, MapMyRun or any other similar program. You can also take a picture of the treadmill display. Further detailed instruction on how to report your results will come out later. Because of this unique way to participate, there will be no placement awards. However you will get a shirt, unique button for this event, finishing award and various sponsor swag as supplies last. All of this will be mailed to you. Proceeds are donated to the Wildlife West Nature Park.
There is also a 10K run/walk/jog with a burro! Burro racing is a growing sport and a way to celebrate their rich New Mexico heritage. If you already have a burro, you can register now! You can also rent a burro, but please make this arrangement before you register. Contact information is below. Various prizes will be awarded! Burro race rules can be found on NMpackburros.com/event.
