Ruck Option

We have added a new "twist" to our trail events. We have added a new option called Rucking.

RUCK•ING [VERB] // Walking/hiking with a weighted rucksack (aka backpack). It implies action, energy, and purpose. Rucking requires strength, endurance, and character -- and builds it, too.

Rucking is the foundation of Special Forces training, but is also a great alternative to running for those that are not able to run but are avid hikers, walkers, and fast packers.

Many of us have taken on rucking as another way to stay fit and challenge ourselves on the trails, so we decided to add this to our event schedule!

The rules: Pick your Distance. Complete any HorseLake Run Distance wearing the pack: Special Award Given to those that complete the event wearing the pack.

Weight Requirements:
Bodyweight under 150 lbs: 10 lbs + Rucksack/Backpack
Bodyweight over 150 lbs: 20 lbs + Rucksack/Backpack
