We hope to race in August! That said, we are not in control of this situation. For this reason, you can register but won't be charged until we confirm that the race is on, and on what terms we will be running to have a safe event.
Welcome to Skyline 50k!
Make sure to visit our website for updates on the race!
This August 2nd, run your first ultra - or your fastest - with us in the beautiful Oakland hills! Skyline 50k offers a scenic and moderately hilly figure 8 course on dirt trails through East Bay Regional Parks, from Lake Chabot Marina to Skyline Gate and returning along much of the Skyline National Recreation Trail. Invite your friends and family to join you and celebrate at the now famous post-race BBQ on the expansive lawn at Chabot.
Here are some pictures of the fun in store for you all.
Information about the course, aid stations, time limits, prizes and race rules is here.
USATF Grand Prix and UTMB
Again this year, Skyline 50k is part of the P-USATF Grand Prix. This makes our race a favorite among teams from the region, ensuring a competitive and fun race. Starting in 2018, Skyline 50k became a qualifying race for UTMB as well, offering 2 points for all finishers.
NEW IN 2020 - Half Marathon
In 2020 for the first time, we will offer a half marathon. This will be a point-to-point race that runs from Chabot Space and Science Center back to Lake Chabot. Runners will be bussed from Lake Chabot at 7:30 for an 8:30 start. Our half marathon is meant to introduce folks who may want to run their first 50k but need a taste first to see what it's like.
