About the Devil's Slide Run
Are you ready to have a "devilishly" good time while supporting a great cause? The Devil's Slide Run features five challenging and spectacularly beautiful routes that will satisfy anyone from the novice hiker to the hard core trail junkie. Distances range from a 4K run/hike to our super challenging and fun 50K trail run with an evil 7,000+ feet of climbing! All of the routes feature stunning views of the San Mateo coastline, and the Half Marathon, 30K and 50K routes include the "Alta Vista Trail," a cruel and beautiful trail that climbs 1200' in just over a mile, and is normally off-limits to organized events!
Your registration includes a cool finisher's medal, an evil set of devil horns, a swag bag and an all-you-can-eat free lunch afterwards! Custom-designed tech tees are available for an additional charge. Proceeds from the event directly benefit PARCA, a local nonprofit whose programs help people with developmental disabilities lead more satisfying and independent lives. About the name: The "Devil's Slide" is a name given to a steep, rocky coastal promontory located about midway between Montara and the Linda Mar District of Pacifica. This spectacular section of coastline is beautiful but has been plagued with landslides which ultimately led to the closing and rerouting of Highway 1 around the slide.
Dear running community,
Local time: 10:16 PM
It goes without saying that the COVID-19 situation has impacted all of us in our beautiful region and beyond. Therefore, in an effort to keep everyone healthy and safe, we decided to cancel the 2020 Devil’s Slide Ride, but have scheduled the 2021 event for Saturday, May 22. Rest assured we will offer the same devilish routes, climbs, epic descents and amazing scenery and support.
The Devil’s Slide events are one of our clients’ favorite days of the year, and they, like you, love the camaraderie that binds our fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
Thank you for supporting PARCA and individuals with developmental disabilities. In these challenging and uncertain times, it’s more important than ever to support one another, take care of our health and stay active, in a safe and responsible way. For any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you all on May 22, 2021!
