About the Devil's Slide Run
Are you ready to have a "devilishly" good time while supporting a great cause? The Devil's Slide Run features five challenging and spectacularly beautiful routes that will satisfy anyone from the novice hiker to the hard core trail junkie. Distances range from a 4K run/hike to our super challenging and fun 50K trail run with an evil 7,000+ feet of climbing! All of the routes feature stunning views of the San Mateo coastline, and the Half Marathon, 30K and 50K routes include the "Alta Vista Trail," a cruel and beautiful trail that climbs 1200' in just over a mile, and is normally off-limits to organized events!
Your registration includes a cool finisher's medal, an evil set of devil horns, a swag bag and an all-you-can-eat free lunch afterwards! Custom-designed tech tees are available for an additional charge. Proceeds from the event directly benefit PARCA, a local nonprofit whose programs help people with developmental disabilities lead more satisfying and independent lives. For more information, please visit www.parca.org.
About the name: The "Devil's Slide" is a name given to a steep, rocky coastal promontory located about midway between Montara and the Linda Mar District of Pacifica. This spectacular section of coastline is beautiful but has been plagued with landslides which ultimately led to the closing and rerouting of Highway 1 around the slide.
Devil's Slide Run Update:
Local time: 10:25 PM
As community events, such as trail runs, road rides and endurance races, are regrettably still prohibited and we're concerned for our participants’ and volunteers’ health—many of whom are clients with vulnerable conditions—we are unfortunately unable to host this year’s Devil’s Slide events that were scheduled for May 22, 2021.
Please know this was not an easy decision - the event, which we now have been hosting for nine years, is not only one of PARCA’s primary fundraisers, but one of our clients’ favorite days as they have the opportunity to be part of a larger community of athletes. They cherish cheering you on as you conquer your endeavors. And we of course love seeing all of you as you set new goals to crush the rugged terrain our courses pose, full of devilish hills climbs followed by heavenly descents.

Thank you for supporting PARCA and individuals with developmental disabilities. In these challenging and uncertain times, it’s more important than ever to support one another, take care of our health and stay active, in a safe and responsible way.
