2020 RACE Cancelled
It is with sadness that Goose Adventure Racing must cancel this year’s Dam Good Trail Race. Continued COVID-19 concerns and regulatory body requirements exceed our capability to host the race. We are truly very sorry and share your frustration that our 2020 season has been… disappointing.
We will begin the process of issuing refunds starting Thursday July 30th. If you wish to receive a refund by check, then no action is needed on your part. Checks will be mailed to the address entered when you registered. If you need to update your address or have another request (including options if you purchased a shirt or donating your registration to Rochester Foodlink), please visit the following link to fill out the survey.

Thank you for your understanding this year.
2020 Race Season Shirts
We are changing our approach to race shirts this year. Starting with the 2020 Muddy Sneaker (and our other trail races this year), you will NOT receive a race shirt as part of your registration fee. To compensate for this, we have dropped the price of each of our races by $5.00.
But what if you really want a shirt? We are offering a super nice and durable Patagonia T-shirt as an add-on purchase at any of our races. The shirt is a higher quality shirt than we have ever offered, and at a price lower than what you would pay at the store.
Add-on purchases can be made at the time of registration and will be available at packet pickup.
Registration on temporary hold
Registration for Dam Good is currently paused while we evaluate the feasibility of hosting the event in the current COVID-19 climate.
Course
For 14 miles, you will experience one of this area’s hidden trail running treasures. From the starting line at the Mount Morris Dam on the edge of the Genesee river gorge, you’ll enjoy your first of several scenic overlooks. Take it in before you take off! The course quickly becomes a winding single-track through open woods and sloping hills. The landscapes are ever changing; from heavily wooded evergreens to rocky stream crossings. At the halfway mark, each runner will take a short loop on Letchworth State Park trail #16 and head back to the Dam and Recreation Center for the finish. Between mile eight and nine, you’ll be challenged by the course’s largest hill.
One dollar of every registration will be donated to the Finger Lakes Trail Conference to support, protect, and enhance portions of the Finger Lakes Trail we will be running on during the race.
Withdrawals
Plans change, so Goose Adventure Racing will provide withdrawal refunds on the following schedule;
- before July 21, 2019 – 50% refund
- No refunds for withdrawals after July 21.
NOTE: Refunds will only be for the race entrance fee; refunds will not include the Ultra Signup administration fee. There will be NO WAITLIST this year!
