Registration will open December 15, 2021 for the 2022 Snake River Canyon Half Marathon being held March 5, 2022 at 10AM! The Snake River Half Marathon is directed by the Palouse Road Runners on the first Saturday in March every year. It is the first big race of the season for the Quad Cities area. SRCHM is a beautiful river canyon out-and-back course on the Wawawai River Road along the Snake River. The flat and paved course is USATF certified. The start and finish are at Wawawai Landing at a river elevation of about 720 feet. Weather in the canyon is quite warm for March with finish line temperatures close to 50F. Go to palouseroadrunners.org for more information.
Runners will start at Wawawai Landing on the Snake River. They will follow Wawawai River Road on an out-and-back course where they will turn around near Water Canyon. There will be mile markers every mile and water stations are about every 2 miles. Toilets will be available at all water stations. This is a USATF Certified Course.
It is Palouse Road Runners’ and the RRCA’s policy that bib swapping is not allowed. This is for liability and safety reasons and it's just not cool.
Local time: 7:46 AM
Sorry, no refunds and no deferrals. In the unfortunate event that we are not able to hold the race in person, we will be doing a virtual race instead.
Running with pets and strollers or biking along the course during a race are also not allowed. The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged. You must follow the health and safety guidelines listed below to participate.
As of October 2021, all participants, spectators, and volunteers must be masked unless actively running in the event on the course or eating or drinking. Please note that federal and/or state and/or CDC COVID guidelines may change between now and March. PRR will be following all safety regulations and guidelines in place for state, federal, or the CDC for this event.
