The 4th annual Miocene Epic Endurance Challenge is a trail race on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Calvert County, Maryland. The event will take place at Calvert Cliffs State Park in Lusby, Maryland. The race consists of a 5 mile loop where runners will have up to 6 hours or 9 hours to run as much or as little as they would like. All runners will receive a Miocene Epic premium item for registering, fully stocked aid station after each loop, post-run meal, beer & more!.
What Do I Get?
Every runner will receive:
A Miocene Logo Bondi Band entrants premium
Fully stocked aid station with sweets, salty snacks, drinks, fresh breakfast foods (pancakes, fried potatoes, bacon, fruit, etc.) on every loop
Hot meal for lunch/finish (we've done wood fired pizza, roasted elote, chili, fries, etc in the past)
Prizes for anyone reaching the 50k or 50M distance
Podium awards for top 3 men/women in the 6 hour and 9 hour
A beautiful course and plenty of room to set up your own tent, chair, cooler, etc for a personal aid/rest station between loops.
Calvert Cliffs State Park is located at 10540 H. G. Trueman Road, Lusby, MD, 20657. Each loop begins and ends at the picnic pavilion. The race starts at 9am and will end at 3pm for 6 hour runners, and 6pm for 9 hour runners. The park opens at dawn (~7am) leaving runners with plenty of time to park, check in, and relax before the start.
Parking & Park Entry
Runners can park in any available space within Calvert Cliffs State Park. Runners will be responsible for paying the entry fee of $5 for Maryland residents or $7 for non-Maryland residents.
