Registration is PAUSED due to COVID-19
4/29/20 COVID-19 update
I’m pausing registration until further notice. This means you may still register for Cool Moon, but the pause acts like a Waitlist. Your credit card will not be charged at this time. Auburn State Recreation Area has cancelled all special events through June 7th. This may be extended. Cool Moon is a resilient race, so I intend to put it on as long as it follows the State and ethical guidelines. If the race is unable to occur, your registration will be rolled over to the 2021 event or you will have the possibility for a partial refund 75%-50% relying on if we move forward paying third parties for the event costs in early June.
Welcome to Cool Moon 100

The course consists of a 13.5-mile loop and an 11.5-mile loop, upon which runners will alternate. Runners will start North on a 13.5-mile, counter-clockwise loop from Cool Firehouse, head west to Pig Farm and Salt Creek, south toward the American River and back into Cool. Next, they will follow an 11.5-mile loop from Cool Firehouse South toward Northside School, to Knickerbocker, to the Rim Trail, past the radio towers, back to Northside School and Knickerbocker, and back to Cool. This course is not easy, do not take it lightly.
