About the American Trail Running Association (ATRA)

The American Trail Running Association (ATRA), was formed in 1996 as a Colorado non-profit to serve the mountain, ultra and trail (MUT) running community. Our mission is to promote the sport, encourage trail conservation, advocate for trail access and promote healthy, outdoor lifestyles. We offer memberships for individuals, running clubs, race directors and brands.

We offer multiple Corporate Membership levels for brands interested in reaching our large & growing audience of trail runners.

In addition to paid memberships we offer FREE resources for event directors & trail runners including:

Corporate Membership Options

Race Membership - Single Event (Race) - $95 per year
Your event listed as a member in Trail Times, and you will receive a link on our home page to your URL and we list your event in our online events calendar as an ATRA member. At this level, (and at the single track and above levels), opportunity to purchase liability insurance for your event from ATRA’s insurance partner Nicholas Hill Insurance.

“Single-track” Corporate Membership – $195
(club, specialty running store are also under the single-track category)
Benefits include:
• Listing and link on our home page (trailrunner.com).
• Your races bold highlighted on our events calendar (trailrunner.com). We have more than 8,000 races in our online calendar.
• One ad in our monthly e-newsletter.

“Switchback” Corporate Membership - $1000 per year
Benefits include:

• Logo and link in each of 12 e-newsletters during the year to highlight corporate members at this level and above.
• Listing on front page of quarterly Trail Times newsletter.
