Information
The 100-miler starts at 5:00am on Saturday, June 14th, 2025 at the Cool Staging Area (7200 Saint Florian Court, Cool, CA 95614). Parking is free and included in your registration.

Course
The course consists of a 13.5-mile (North) loop and an 11.5-mile (South) loop, upon which runners will complete in the order of North, then South. Each runner will complete (4) 13.5-mile loops and (4) 11.5-mile loops to achieve the 100-mile distance. Runners will start North on a 13.5-mile, counter-clockwise loop from Cool Firehouse, running two miles down the historic Western States trail, heading up Pig Farm trail/to the top of K2. then parts of Olmstead trail to the Ranch, then South on Olmstead to some amazing back country single track then to the Salt Creek Loop Trail south toward the American River and back up the various single track, The Ranch, then back to Cool. Next, they will follow an 11.5-mile loop from Cool Firehouse South down Knickerbocker trail to Blue Oak trail, Olmstead, various connectors and across Triple Creek to Knickerbocker, then South on Olmstead to the Rim Trail, to Pilot Hill, then Olmstead to Catecroft, hidden lake trails, back to Knickerbocker, and back to Cool. The course is extremely well-marked.
The course consists of single track and fire roads.
13.5-mile Loop elevation approximately 2200′
11.5-mile Loop elevation approximately 1150′
100-miler total elevation gain/loss approximately 13,600 feet.
Cut-off times
1. At 2:00pm (33:00 hours) on Sunday, June 15th at mile 88.5 at Cool Staging Area.
2. At 6:00pm (37:00 hours) on Sunday, June 15th at mile 100.0 at Cool Staging Area.
Runners who do not meet these two cut-off times will be required to turn in their bib as DNF and will not continue on the course.

On the South 11.5 Mile Loop the aid stations are:
Knickerbocker at mile 16 (full)
Pilot Hill at mile 19 (water only)
Catecroft at mile 20.5 (full)
Knickerbocker at mile 23 (full)
Cool Staging Area at mile 25 (full) start/finish area
Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup Options.
Option #1 will be on Friday afternoon 2:00pm to 6:00pm on June 13th, 2025 at the start/finish Cool Staging Area (7200 Saint Florian Court, Cool, CA 95614).
Option #2 will be on race morning 3:45 to 4:45am on June 14th, 2025 at the start/finish Cool Staging Area (7200 Saint Florian Court, Cool, CA 95614).
Swag
All 100-mile finishers will be awarded with a handcrafted Comstock Heritage finisher's buckle, shirt, and finisher's medal.
Top-3 Overall Male and Female finishers will receive custom award plaques.
Pacers and Crew
Pacers are allowed only after the runner completes the third loop (at mile 38.5).
Crews are restricted to the Cool Staging Area (Start/Finish) and may aid their runner after completion of each loop.
Drop bags
You may have drop bags at Cool & Knickerbocker only. Collection will be 4:00-5:00am race morning. You will see the designated locations for drop off at the Start Area.
