Texas summers cause all of us to suffer, why not suffer together while having some fun on a Blazin' summer night?!
Join us for the first annual Blazin' Summer Sufferfest, held at Cedar Hill State Park. The night race will be held on the 12-mile DORBA trail system in the southern part of Cedar Hill State Park. Winding through over 1,000 acres of forest and grasslands along the edge of Joe Pool lake, the terrain is moderate to challenging.
Distances for this year's race: ≈54K/≈36K/≈18K/≈10K/≈5K (If you don't know, those symbols stand for "approximate." Don't complain to us when the distance is longer or shorter than what you thought it would be.)
All participants must run with a hydration system and all runners in the three longer distances must have a headlamp at the start of the race. No exceptions!
The race was approved in late June and we have worked quickly to get registration open. This year, we won't have medals but will have a race shirt, well stocked aid stations and amazing volunteers. Shirts are not guaranteed if you register after Tuesday, July 27.
Cedar Hill State Park has asked that all participants and spectators purchase a Day Pass online prior to arrival at the park. While the fee can be paid at the front gate on race day, purchasing a day pass online is the only way to guarantee admission to the park. The park is subject to capacity limits and can fill up quickly on weekends when the weather is nice. Participants and spectators 13 years of age and older (12 and under receive free entry) are required to pay the Texas State Park entrance fee of $7 per person. Please allow extra time to enter the park and make your way to the race Start/Finish.

If for any reason the race is canceled we cannot refund your day pass fee.
