RunforAmma Charity Run to Benefit UCSF Cancer Research
The RunforAmma is an annual event to help raise awareness and money to aid in cutting-edge research and treatments for cancer.
100% of the registration proceeds will be donated directly to the UCSF BRCA lab.
10th Annual Running
2022 will mark the 10th anniversary of the Run for Amma. The RunforAmma originated as a solo run to honor Champa Seshadri (“Amma”) who had terminal cancer as a means to raise money and awareness for cutting-edge cancer research. Amma was involved in the route planning for the inaugural year and was able to witness the finish of the run. She passed away a few weeks after the first run - but not before telling me to run this every year as a way to remember her strength and determination to live life to its fullest.
