Mountain Magic 5/10/25/35k
Mountain Magic 2024 was our best event yet! A record number of runners took on some of the most exciting and beautiful running trails in the Inland NW! The new 25k course was a hit, and the energy was high around the finish line and lodge all morning. It's no surprise - rolling trails, pine trees and whole lot of happy faces—what more could a runner ask for?
Let's make 2025 even bigger and better!
These trails are winding, rolling, and really really special. Most are wide ski trails through the pines. For the longer distances, there are a couple of minor peaks to summit, making them runnable but still enough elevation gain and loss to push you to your limit!
On the post-event survey, runners rated Mountain Magic 2024 an 8.6 out of 10. Not too bad, huh? This year we'll continue to build on what's worked and tweak the things that can be improved.
NEW FOR 2025
>Medals. Trail races typically don't have medals but you've been asking for them, so we're delivering! AND everyone who's run Mountain Magic in past years will get a special medal for that number of years (if you register by May 20).
> 35k Grand Tour. 35k is an odd distance, but that's what it takes to cover almost all the best running trails in the Nordic ski trail system. We're calling it the Grand Tour. Are you up for the challenge?

MORE FEEDBACK FROM 2024
Here are a few examples of what last year's runners had to say:
"This year was awesome, the course was challenging but you could still press the pace."
- Chase Abbott, 25k runner
"That was the best trail race I’ve ever done!"
– Jeremy Brown, 10k winner
"It was wonderfully varied. Hills, grass, mud, gravel, turns, beauty. It had so much to enjoy." - Anonymous
"This race to me is all about what makes the trail running community special. Everybody is so down to earth and friendly. It’s a relaxed, fun and supportive environment. The course is well marked and simply beautiful and the communication about the event was great. And the food, yum." - Anonymous
Bottom line, Mountain Magic is going to follow in the footsteps of 2024 as the trail running party to kick off your summer.
See you up on the mountain!
- Brad
