Come run the Game Lands of NC
The Gamelands Ultra will be held in Wagram, NC on over 500 acres of North Carolina Game Lands with the 100K starting at 7am, 50K at 8am and 10 miler starting at 9am. This charity race will benefit our venue directly. This race will start and finish on the 80 acre horse farm known as the Old Glory Legacy Foundation, a military charity that directly benefits our service members and their families.
The course will be on mostly road width trails made up of sand, beautiful landscape, and some water crossings. There is no real elevation to speak of, but what this race lacks in incline the mid May weather and loose sand will for sure make this an enjoyable ultra.
Once you complete the race all runners will receive a finishers medal, shirt, free BBQ, and plenty of beer.The beer will be provided by Dirtbag Ales, a veteran owned brewing company out of the Fayetteville, NC area. We have on location campsites and showers available just in case you would rather relax instead of driving home.
Women's shirts run small; we recommend ordering a size larger than what you normally wear. Shirts cannot be exchanged for a different size at packet pick-up as we order shirts based on the sizes indicated when runners register.
Roam Endurance Series
This race is affiliated and directed by the Southern Pines Ultra Running Club. All participants will earn points towards the overall Roam Endurance Series standings. This will be the 2nd race of the 2016 five race series.
