Overview
WHAT: The Gordon Slik Lewis 5k will be a satellite race where each man/woman/child will elect to walk, run, or jog a distance of 3.11 miles (the distance of a 5k footrace) under their own power on June 14, 2014.
WHEN: Live Event: June 14, 2014 @ 10:30am; Virtual Event: 12:00am to 11:59pm day of race.
WHO: All proceeds will go towards the Gordon W. Lewis Fund via "GoFundMe". Members of class of 2004, family, friends, and anyone who wants to run 12.5 laps of the track are encouraged to attend.
WHERE: There will be a live event at GALWAY HIGH SCHOOL TRACK on Sacandaga Road, Galway, NY.
REPORTING: An email link will be sent through which each participant is responsible for uploading their times. Participants have until Sunday to report their times via spreadsheet.
WHY: All proceeds will go to Gordie to help fund his new set of wheels giving this young man mobility and a sense of autonomy he has been robbed of for the last 7 years.
