Event Information
Join JV Running Collective for our annual Armadillo Ultra in the scenic Osage Hills State Park. We will be offering a 50k, 25k and a 10k routes.
The 25k course is a loop with 1,100' gain. There will be 3 aid stations along the loop at miles 3, 7.5, 11, 14 and 15.5. The 50k course will run this loop twice. The 10k hits the bluffs and then winds over the the bike trail for some technical single track action and boasts nearly 500' of gain. So it is not an easy course, but nothing in life that is worth it is easy!!
Overall, the course has a bit of everything from nice smooth and fast trails, to gently rolling double tracks, to technical rocky single track. Some of the trails run next to bluffs...so watch your step closely as you peer over the edge!
Check-in and Race Start
Check in will begin at 6am for the 50k at the Rock Pavilion south of the Visitor Center. Drop bags will be allowed here at the start /finish area which will be mile 15.5. Check in will continue for the other distance and closes 10 minutes prior to the race start.
There will be a limited number of race morning signup's allowed. T-shirts are not guaranteed for race day sign-ups and those who register after June 7th.
Start and Time Limits
Race starts:
50k -- 7:00 am
25k -- 7:00 am
10k -- 7:30 am
There is a 10 hour time limit for the 50k, 6 hour limit for the 25k and 3 hour limit for the 10k.
There will be a cap of 50 participants for the 50k, 50 for the 25k and 100 for the 10k.
All registrations are final and no refunds will be given.
Packet Pickup
Packets will be available for pickup on June 15th from 10-6 at RunnersWorld Tulsa, 3920 S Peoria in Tulsa, OK. Race day pickup begins on June 17th, 6am at the race start.
The deadline for guaranteed T-Shirts sizes is June 9th, so the sizing is limited at pickup time for registrants after 10th June 2017.
Awards
There will be handmade awards for the overall winners at all 3 race distances for both male and female.
Lodging
There are many hotel options located in Bartlesville, Ok. It is only a 20-25 minute drive to the race start.
Or you can come camp with us at the park! There are RV spots w/hook ups, tents spot, yurts and cabins for rent. Contact Osage Hills State Park @ (918) 336-4141 for reservations.
Directions to Start
Once inside the Park, continue south past the Park office. The camping area is just to the right after the office. Continue straight and take the first left. The Start/Finish area will be on the left near the rock picnic shelter.
