Description

This is a fat ass event -- There will be no awards, shirts, official times, or bib numbers.
Entry limit is 50 people, and fee is to cover water for the course (yes, it's July, we will get water out there for you), and some awesome food for after in a nice air conditioned space. Even so, please bring your own food, supplies, and gear to carry with you throughout the race. Terrain is some paved asphalt mixed with rocky dirt roads. It is Alabama hilly.
We will have a car to pick you up if you cannot make it, but please be 100% prepared to finish the 50k.
Event starts at an RV park so if you own an RV, bring it and make it a fun 4th of July event!
Tent camping available if you inquire.

The course is looped. Go down the tail into the loop. After 3 rotations, go back up the tail to finish out your 50k.

Coming from Montgomery, you will pass a lot of old pioneer-looking buildings called the Pioneer Shopping Village. Almost immediately after, you will turn right to get to the entrance of Deer Run. Go up the hill and you'll see a big ole sign that says Deer Run on your right. Turn in and park.

Coming from Dothan, you will pass the Troy airport and about 2-3 miles down the road, you will see a big yellow sign for Deer Run. Turn left and you'll see a big ole sign that says Deer Run on your right. Turn in and park.

Start Time and After Party

Start will be at 7. We'd like everyone to be done in 10 hours, but if you're still out there, we will wait for you.
After, we will have food and beverages in the Clubhouse. Stay as long as you'd like. If people are interested, bring your camping chair and let's have a bonfire.
