The Event
This event will be a self-supported 150-mile run across the state of Michigan over Memorial Weekend consisting of open roads and approximately 90 miles of rail trail. You’ll start from the beach at Lake Michigan in Ludington and finish your journey at Veterans Memorial Park in Bay City. This is a self-supported event, so you’ll need a crew.
Supporting our Veterans
Registration is cheap, just enough to cover expenses, this is because we ask you to make a donation of time or treasure to a Veterans Service Organization of your choosing.
Safety
You and your crew are responsible for your own safety. All roads will be open to traffic. You must wear lights sufficient to be seen by traffic while it is dark and on open roads, NoxGear or equivalent. crews can access you anywhere it is safe to do so. Crews cannot pace you from their vehicle, in other words, a vehicle cannot follow you at your moving pace, they must meet you at a parking lot, trail head, or other suitable location out of traffic to provide you aid.
Aid
There will be a few volunteers driving the roads that make up the course and waiting at trail intersections to provide supplementary water and maybe some snacks. But don’t depend on that. You'll need a crew. We will be cooking breakfast at the Clare Trail Head, in front of the Moose Lodge on M-115, breakfast is whatever time you arrive at that point, which is 100 miles.
Pacers
Pacers are welcome to join you at the Baldwin Trail Head for as long as they care to run. All pacers must register on Ultrasignup as a pacer in order to sign the waiver. Pacer registration is free.
