Event

Leatherwood Ultras is back in the fall of 2018 with Sendero de los Muertos: Trail of the Dead!! We have teamed up with Leatherwood Mountains for their Oktoberfest Event to make one epic weekend. Survive this grueling looped course event during the day, then dance away the soreness with live music and fresh local beer on tap in the evening. Rent one of Leatherwood Mountains beautiful mountain cabin with friends and enjoy a weekend of fun!!

Distances

Long Excruciating Death (34ish miles): Finish 4 loops of approximately 8.5 miles and 2000+ft of gain per loop to be dubbed a survivor.

Short Quick Death (8.5ish miles): Finish 1 loop of approximately 8.5 miles and 2000+ft of gain per to be dubbed a survivor.

Course

Right from the start it will be full of ups and downs. This looped course will be beautiful, fun, and challenging. Mostly on single and double track trails. Very little gravel and paved road. Whether you are a returning runner or new to Leatherwood Mountains, you will not be disappointed.

Aid Stations

This loop course will have 2 fully stocked aid stations. First aid station will be about 4 miles in and full of the most fun and partying volunteers Leatherwood has to offer. Main aid station will be at the start/finishline right by Saddlebrook Bar and Restaurant.

Awards

All survivors will receive a laser etched glass ready to be filled with your favorite brew.

Top Three male and female survivors will receive placement awards.
