Frozen Foot 50k

Join us for the inaugural Frozen Foot 50 Ultra Race!
The Frozen Foot 50 is a unique trail race that offers a 50k, 30k and 17k race starting in the heart or downtown Pagosa Springs, the hot springs capital of Colorado in the majestic San Juan Mountains.
Within minutes of the starting line you'll race down a river trail,climb into the wilderness, and cover terrain such as wildlife trails, meadows, and atv trails all while enjoying breath taking views of the San Juan Mountains. There is an awesome variety of flat stretches as well as winding trails climbing to the top of Reservoir Hill. After the race, relax and recover at The Springs Resort & Spa while soaking in natural hot springs terraced on the banks of the San Juan River. There are 23 different soaking pools ranging in temperatures from 88 degrees to 112 degrees. If you get too hot, take a dip in the San Juan River just steps away from your soaking pool as a server brings you your favorite refreshment, cocktail or beer.

Event Information
Solo 50k:
The fun will commence at 8:30 AM on Saturday, March 2nd 2019. 50k Competitors will run 3 loops around the scenic 16k course. As long as you complete the first two loops within a 5 hour window, you are free to continue the race. 50K runners may bring drop bags if needed. If you have not started the final loop within that time you will be asked to proceed directly to the finish line without completing the final loop.

30K:
There is a single 30k option that will begin at the same time as the other races. Competitors will run twice around the 16k loop. Though the 30k runners will run the same course as the ultra runners, the 30k will be treated as a separate event. This is a great way to get everybody involved!

17K
There is a single 17k option that will begin at the same time as the other races. Competitors will run once around the 16k loop with a little extra towards the finish line. The 17k runners will run the same course as the ultra runners, and 30k runners and will be treated as a separate event. All runners will be running the same course.



Want to join the fun but don't think you can handle the distance? TEAMS ARE WELCOME! To register as a team, each participant needs to register in the race/distance they would like to run. After each participant registers, send an email to frozenfoot50@gmail.com to confirm the team.

The race will happen rain, sleet, snow or shine. Be prepared to run on packed snow and there will also be some muddy areas. We are ultra-runners, lets not let a little weather keep us from having fun! Race will only be canceled if safety of runners is a legitimate concern.
This is the Frozen Foot 50, so be ready for some cold and lots of fun.

After Party!
The after party will be hosted at The Springs Resort & Spa, home to the most geothermal soaking pools in Colorado!
Each finisher will receive complimentary access into The Springs Resort and Spa to recover in your choice of 23 natural geothermal hot springs pools. Each participant that completes the 50k will also receive a free beer.
At the resort there will be live music, craft beer, food, and lots of fun. This will be the most unique Ultra Race you've experienced.
