Western States Trail Stewardship

In conjunction with WSER, WSTF, and USFS American River District, we are pleased to offer 3 weekends and 5 days for the chance to give back to the trails and fulfill volunteer requirements in the Tahoe National Forest. Final details will be sent when confirmed as weather could play a role. All volunteers will receive a shirt and early entry to Canyons Endurance Runs 2020.

WS Trail El Dorado Canyon April 13&14

We will focus on tread and drainage in El Dorado Canyon on the WS Trail. We will meet in front Old Foresthill Elementary School in Foresthill at 7:30 to carpool to Michigan Bluff. We will return around 3pm. Required items are: Boots, pants, long sleeve shirt, and gloves. We will provide safety helmets and glasses. Boots are required footwear, and running shoes are not acceptable. Volunteers without proper footwear will not be allowed to participate, per USFS regulations. Lunch and water is NOT provided, and must be brought out in the field by each volunteer. We apologize for any inconvenience.

WS Trail Deadwood May 11

We will focus on clearing downed trees, slash and opening corridor from Deadwood Cemetery to Swinging Bridge on the WS Trail. We will meet in front Old Foresthill Elementary School in Foresthill at 7:30 to carpool to Devils Thumb. We will return around 3pm More details will be emailed once finalized with USFS. Required items are: Boots, pants, long sleeve shirt, and gloves. We will provide safety helmets and glasses. Boots are required footwear, and running shoes are not acceptable. Volunteers without proper footwear will not be allowed to participate, per USFS regulations. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Robinson Flat July 6&7

We will camp overnight Friday and Saturday at Lyon's at Robinson Flat Campground..You may work either day and run the other, come for one day, or work both and run after work. We will provide dinner and water each day. More details will be emailed once finalized with USFS. Required items are: Boots, pants, long sleeve shirt, and gloves. We will provide safety helmets and glasses. Boots are required footwear, and running shoes are not acceptable. Volunteers without proper footwear will not be allowed to participate, per USFS regulations. We apologize for any inconvenience.
