Packet Pick Up
Packet pick up will be Friday, August, 30, 2019 from 4PM-6PM at Blue Ox Running, 417 South Barstow, Eau Claire. Stop in and check out your awesome local running store! Packets will also be available at the race start from 7-7:45AM.
Location
The races will be held at 8:00, Saturday 8/31/19 at the Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area in Menomonie, WI. Parking is limited so please car pool if necessary.
Directions
From the west, take Interstate 94 to the County Highway B exit about 4 miles east of Menomonie. Go left (north) on Highway B about .7 mile to 650th Avenue. Go right (east) on 650th Avenue which joins County Highway E in about 1.5 miles. Continue on Highway E about 3.5 miles to 740th Street. Turn left (north) on 740th Street and go about 1.3 miles. The park entrance will be on your right.
From the east, take Interstate 94 to the US Highway 12 / State Highway 29 exit. Go right (west) on Highway 12/29 about 3 miles to 730th Street. Take 730th Street. right (north) about 2 miles to 650th Ave. Turn left (west) on 650th Ave. and turn right (north) onto County Highway E. Follow Highway E for about 1 mile and turn left (north) on 740th Street. Go about 1.3 miles. The park entrance will be on your right.
Hoffman Hills is 10 miles northeast of Menomonie, at 44° 56' 37.98" N, 91° 46' 58.92" W.
Start/finish line area will be in the main parking lot area. Toilets are available in this location.
Race Overview
The timed races will start at 8:00 on Saturday, August 31, 2019. The marked course will follow the very challenging trails throughout the area. The distances are approximate and maybe slightly longer. Expect very hilly terrain! This is 100% on wide ski-lane type trails with all the usual hazards; rocks, holes, water, mud, brush, etc. The event will be held rain or shine. It will only be cancelled if advised by authorities. The safety of runners comes first! No refunds if event cancelled. There will be 1 water stop on the 5k and 2 water stops on the 10k. We are a a cupless event. All registered runners will receive a collapsible cup to carry or you can carry your own hydration equipment.

Run For The Hills!
Welcome to the inaugural running of the Run For The Hills! 5k/10k Trail Races to benefit the Elk Mound Fire Department. The races will be held at 8:00 AM on Saturday, 8/31/19, at the Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area in Menomonie, WI. All monies raised will be donated to our charity partner - the Elk Mound Fire Department.

Packet pick up in Eau Claire on 8/30/19 - (location TBD). Race day at Hoffman Hills
Registered runners will receive a collapsible, reusable cup, finisher medal, and buff. Post race food and hydration will be provided.
No refunds are available for this event if cancelled. We are a small budget event limited to 50 runners. We cannot accept applicants under the age of 12. Every registration dollar (minus Ultra sign up fees) will go directly to our charity partner - the Elk Mound Fire Department.
Rules
1. No external music players on course.
2. No pets or baby strollers.
3. No littering. We are a cupless race and cups will be provided to you or bring your own.
4. Course closes at 11:00. You must cross the finish line by then to be an official finisher.
5. Smile and have fun!
