This Event Took Place Sun. Oct 4, 2020

Well, we decided to do it one more time, but in 2022, we will be running on HALLOWEEN WEEKEND!! The theme for 2022 will be the BMER SCREAMER! We will have the Saturday morning start time again with the 36 Hour at 7AM, 24 Hour at 8AM, 12 Hour at 9AM, 6 Hour at 10AM and 3 Hour at 11AM. Sunday Morning 6 Hour will begin at 10AM. Please join us on Friday night for a pre-race cookout and hang out by the fire with some of the best folks around. We will be at the beautiful Camp at Buffalo Mountain, 201 Methodist Camp Road, Jonesborough, TN 37659
I just love this location!
Course will be a 1.25 mile loop which is mainly paved road, but a bit of trail and grass to change it up a bit. It is NOT flat at all, but the location and scenery make up for all the uphill and downhill. This course is not record setting, so just come enjoy being with your friends and fellow runners. Here is the Strava link to give you an idea. It is mostly on paved road, even if Strava makes it look like trail. https://strava.app.link/XFnnWt6nPib

Camping/Retreat Center

There will be primitive camping available with access to bathhouse/showers. There are no RV sites at the Camp. However the Retreat Center has rooms available for rent.
If you would like to reserve a room at the Retreat Center or a cabin, please contact the Camp directly. Their number (423) 753-3604. They are open business hours 9am-5pm Mon-Sat and 1pm-5pm Sun. It is wedding season, so there may not be anyone in the office to take your calls, so just leave a message. They will return your call when they can. This is a small family business, so it may take a few days to get back to you. Also email works really well for them too- thecampatbuffalo@gmail.com

Packet Pick-up/Check-in

Check-in for all runners will begin on Friday, Oct 28, 2021, from 5 PM- 7PM and Saturday morning 6AM-10AM (depending on your event). You can set up camp on Friday. You will be allowed to change events on Ultrasignup and on Race Day before your event starts. Once the race begins, no drop downs/switches will be allowed.

Aid Station

There will be one Aid Station at the end of the loop, which is at the Allison Lodge this year. This aid station will be fully stocked with hot and cold food. There will be the usual food/drinks- water, electrolyte drink, energy gels, cookies, fruit, potato chips, chocolate, pretzels, pb&j, broth, etc. There will be pancakes, bacon, pizza and tator tots throughout the weekend. The grill will be up and running all weekend. If you have special dietary needs/electrolyte drinks, please plan to bring your own food, but let me know as well. Runners will be allowed to set up personal supplies at their tent site or their car. There will be a bath house with flush toilets and showers.

Start Time

I will be staggering start times for the different events to keep fresh faces and running legs on the course. The start time will be 7AM on Saturday morning, October 29, for the 36Hours. 8AM for the 24 Hour. 9AM for the Saturday 12 hour, 10AM for the Saturday 6 Hour, and 11AM for the 3 Hour. Sunday 6 Hour will begin at 10AM

Race Swag

For 2022, there will be the option to get the Tri-Blend T-shirts for $20, Long Sleeve Tri-Blend for $25 or Hoodie Sweatshirt or Zip-up Hoodie for $36/$40. Sizes XS-XXL.

100 mile Buckles

100 mile buckles will be available for those runners who make it that far. Each buckle is hand made.

Pacers??/Dogs?

No unauthorized pacers on the course, please. If in the middle of the night, you want your friend to do a couple of laps with you, that is fine, just let us know.
Also, no dogs on the course please. Due to my liability insurance, I cannot allow dogs on the course. If you or family member brings a pet, please keep it on a leash at all times and DO NOT leave unattended.

Friday night Food/Bonfire before the Race

We will do our Friday night food/get-together again. Not sure if we will do ribs or something else. Maybe those massive baked potatoes again?? Hope you can join us for that again this year! 6:30ish at the Allison Lodge.

Refunds??

No refunds, transfers or deferments on this event because most of the money is already spent. Then I donate the rest of proceeds to charity- in previous years, we have donated to St. Jude, local animal shelters, Salvation Army, Hurricane Relief Funds, National Stroke Association, as well as the local Foster Children Associations in the Tri-Cites area. Also if you purchase a shirt and you don't show up to the race, I will not mail the shirt. I hardly ever go to the post office and ultimately I will forget. Have someone pick it up for you or just realize that I will consider it a donation for a good cause.
