Arbor Ridge Trail Race

Challenging climbs, rewarding downhills and an exhilarating creek crossing.
10, 5, or 3 mile technical Ice Age Trail through heavily-shaded forest, around a flowering meadow, along a meandering stream.
The 5 & 10 mile races qualify for Ornery Mule Racing's Run Your Ass Off Trail Running Series!
Third Annual Arbor Ridge Trail Race
Start time will be 7:00 am for all race distances. Packet Pickup will be morning of starting at 6am. The course will begin going downhill from the Shelter at the Robert O Cook Arboretum (JSOL), and well, eventually it will go up and down and up some more! Be prepared for a stream crossing and wet feet, this is not one you can jump across. The total time limit for all distances 3 hours and 30 minutes, for the 10 miler that is a 21:00 min/mi pace. We want to see everyone finish! The 10 miler will be two loops of the 5 miler.
Parking:
Please do not park on the right hand side of the road entering the Arboretum. You may park on the lefthand side (when entering, or you can do a u-turn in the far parking lot so you are on the right side). Parking in the far lot is first come first served! Please reserve the first lot you come to (which is only about 4 cars capacity) free for those wanting to use the trails while the race is taking place. We all share the trails.
Aid Stations
There will be aid stations along the course. One at the end of the Ice Age Trail out and back, and one at the top of powerlines. The start/finish will have a water only station.
Prizes
First place male and female of each distance will get a prize.
These will be given out as runners cross the finish line.
Boutique Style Race
Small event with just rollover runners from 2020. There may be a couple spots available. Please contact Coach Stephanie Dannenberg the Race Director if you would like to run. steph.ornerymuleracing@gmail.com
