Rise Up to a New Challenge

With races being cancelled around the globe, Destination Trail has created a virtual race that you can join so that you can still run an challenge yourself to a timed event or ultramarathon, get a finish time, and receive all the fun swag you'd normally get in the safety of your own backyard, house, treadmill or other location. You choose the location, time and day between April 30 and June 30. Please follow all local laws in regards to covid safety precautions and closures!

How Does it Work?

What is a Virtual Race?

It is a race you do on your own but in conjunction with other runners all over the world! It's the perfect way to safely race during the coronavirus pandemic. Choosing an official virtual race like Rise Up Ultras allows you to challenge yourself and get an official finish time and finisher awards. Sometimes we need a little extra motivation to push ourselves and Rise Up Ultras is here to help you! Run virtually with people from all over the world between April 30 - June 30!

1. Register on ultrasignup and choose a distance or time: 6hr, 12hr, 100km, 100 miles or 200miles

2. Pick a date and decide where you will be safely running/walking: It can be indoor, outdoor, road, trail, it's up to you! Please follow all CDC and local coronavirus guidelines). Dates must be within May 1, 2021 - June 30, 2021 and for an official time, you need to submit your time by the end of the day on June 30. You can break the run-up into as many days as you like as long as it's finished by June 30

3. Run or walk your chosen time or distance and record the time/distance: Please make sure you complete the MINIMUM distance of your choosing (doesn't apply to 6hr or 12hr). For 200 miles please do 200 miles or more, for 100 miles you must do 100 miles or more and for 100k you must be 100k or 62.2 miles or more to be verified. Medals, buckles, merchandise, OH MY!

We have taken special care to source the coolest shirts, medals and buckles while supporting USA workers and artists! The medals and shirts are made in the USA by a company that hires 75% disabled workers. The buckles are handmade by Kali, a Utah artist who makes our 200 mile buckles. All buckles are unique and made by capturing plant material in a resin in the form of our logo with your distance of choice on them. All participants will receive a medal. If you'd like a t-shirt (all distances) or buckle (100k, 100mi, 200 mi only) they are extra (add ons) when registering. You can also order after the fact if you want to wait or decide you need one!
