The Race

Friday Night Fun!. 6pm start. Welcome to the Ode Triple Play, the first night of the Ode to Laz race festival weekend
Every contestant gets an Ode logo mug. Win a spot in the Ode to Laz even if the race is full. Treat your family or crew to this race as a way to "get to know the course" the night before the Ode to Laz or run it to get ready for Saturday morning
Registered Ode to Laz entrants can run this for free (no swag)

6 pm start for all events (Valley/Wildwood cabin main start/finish area)

This race is on the amazing, 5 star rated, Ode to Laz trail loop.
Run one 4.167 mile lap as fast as you can, or register for up to 3 laps in the 12.5 miler. Run continuous or run in the "backyard style". Stop whenever you'd like and enjoy the party by the lake.
Packet pickup at the start/finish area anytime starting the morning of the race (we may be out running - so hang out for a while) or pick up at 5:00 pm before the race start
Permanent park bathrooms will be available and open during the event at the start/finish.
Alcohol is permitted.
Glass containers are prohibited.
Water is provided.
No hiking poles or headphones on trails

For the in-person race, entrants completing one lap will receive a cool Triple Play logo coffee mug.
Experience the famous Ode to Laz Trail loop. The fastest male and female to complete the 3 loop Friday race gets a 50% off entry into the next day's Ode to Laz Backyard Ultra, even if it is sold out. Here's your chance to get in!

The Course

The 4.167-mile trail loop has approximately 450 feet of climbing, is 2/3 technical singletrack, 1/3 moderate walking/hiking path and a few hundred yards of pavement. Activities/Lodging

Holly State Recreation Area provides over 8000 acres of hiking, fishing, boating and swimming fun for all ages. A public beach area with concessions, non-motorized boat rentals, and the “Whoa Zone” water obstacle park is suitable for all ages. A daily $9 per car fee is charged by the state and not included in the race entry. Hotels and dining options are available within 15 minutes drive from the event venue. McGinnis campground at the North half of the recreation area is also available for overnight car/tent/RV camping.
