Time to Burn it Down!
We are absolutely overjoyed to be bringing you our second live event this year! The Ring of Fire Endurance Run is a 12 hour event taking place on my own personal proving grounds and consists of hills, grass, dirt, woods, and field, all snugly fit into a 1/4 mile loop.
It will welcome novice endurance and trail runners with its simple format, and will challenge all experience levels as the hours and the laps grind on.
This is a very enjoyable, easy course that is highly runnable. The course remains engaging through the entire 1/4 mile and does not afford much room for mindlessness. The event will be live from 10 AM to 10 PM for you to take down as many laps as your heart desires. So, prepare to be engaged and stay engaged!
We will have water, bathrooms, and shelter for all attendees. The simplicity of our events maximizes our fundraising. Please prepare properly to provide yourself with good fuel throughout your experience, and please be prepared for inclement weather conditions.
All proceeds from our event go to Children's MN, a local non-profit pediatric hospital serving the greater midwest (and the globe) from South Minneapolis. You can be a part of something great by registering with us!
Let's Burn It Down!!!
What do I bring?
Things you need:
- Food: Bring the fuel you'll need for an entire day of awesome! We can assist in getting things heated up for you, and the bonfire will be burning for campfire cooking!
- Headlamp: It's going to get dark by the time we're wrapped, and the woods can be a little spooky without some illumination...and clearly spotting your footing will help you continue having a great time once the sun goes down!
- Hydration Container: The course will have easy on/off access at the start/finish line for fuel and hydration, and will not offer cups or other water containers. This will greatly reduce cost and waste, and will require you to provide your own water bottle(s), bladder, cup, etc.
- Layers: I'm not your mom, but you should think about layers. It will be the end of October in MN, so we could get anything from 60 and sunny to snow. Just be ready. Love, Mom.
Highly Recommended:
- GPS Enabled Device: Between watches and the tracking apps, we just want way to validate our lap counting and your final results, and we want you to be able to know where your progress is throughout. We're not a qualifier for anything, and this is a fun run, so we're not requiring it. All self-reporting is assumed honest, ethical, and in the interest of fair and competitive sport.
Event's current local time: 9:27 AM CT
