Southern Freeze 2025
It’s time to gear up for the Southern Freeze 2025 races!
SF50/50 is an urban run along the stunning Columbus, GA, and Phenix City, AL, Riverwalks, giving you amazing views of the Chattahoochee River. Even in the cold, the charm of these towns shines through! You’ll pass highlights like the world’s longest urban whitewater course, Columbus State University, The National Infantry Museum, and Golden Park.
You have two choices: Join the Southern Freeze races to enjoy the winter fun, or if you’re feeling extra brave, go for the Freeze and Fry combo. This gets you into both the winter and summer races in Columbus. Plus, you’ll get a discount and a special award for completing races in both seasons.
Let’s break it down:
Freeze and Fry 50k: Includes the January and August 25k races (a total of 50k).
FF100k: Covers the January and August 50k races.
FF100 mile: Takes on the January and August 50-mile races. That’s a lot of running!
Aid stations will be packed with Southern ultrarunning favorites like chicken and dumplings, sweet tea, grilled cheese, cookies, and more. You’ll also have drinks like Coke, water, and CeraSport to keep you hydrated. Thanks, CeraSport!
All runners will receive a T-shirt and beanie.
All finishers will receive a race medal.
1st place overall in each event will receive a special award.
The cutoff is 10 hours for the 25k and 50k, and 14 hours for the 50-mile race. So whether you’re an ultramarathon pro or a newbie, you’ve got plenty of time to finish.
