RUNNERS OF THE SAGE operates under a special use permit from the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest Employer.

Half Marathon/5 Mile/5K all start at 8 AM
1 Mile Kids Run Starts at 9 AM
REGISTRATION/COST:
Half Marathon - $65 Early Bird price through March 30th - shirts included with Pre-Registration; $75 Regular price until online registration closes Thursday May 16th. $75 Day of Race Registration(no shirt).
5 Mile - $25 Early Bird price through March 30th - shirts not included; $35 Regular price until online registration closes Thursday May 16th. $35 Day of Race Registration.
5k - $20 Early Bird price through March 30th - shirts not included; $30 Regular price until online registration closes Thursday May 16th. $30 Day of Race Registration.
1 Mile Hurricane Hustle Kids Run - Free and begins at 9 AM. We highly encourage parents to register their kids online.
WHERE: JOSEPH, OREGON CITY PARK
PACKET PICKUP: Pick up your race packet with bib and goodies at Joseph City Park from 3-5 PM on May 24th or starting at 6:30-7:45 AM the day of the race.
GEAR: Weather can be unpredictable this time of year so come prepared and ready for rain/sun/wind/or snow.
REASON: Runners of the Sage mission is to encourage more active and healthy lifestyles. We want to get Wallowa County out and running together! Also with this run we are helping raise funds for the Wallowa Land Trust, whose mission is to protect the rural nature of Wallowa County by working cooperatively with private landowners, Indigenous people, local communities and governmental entities to conserve land. www.wallowalandtrust.org
AWARDS: There will be awards for the top 5 Male and top 5 Female Overall finishers for the Half, 5 Mile, and the 5k. Each Participant will recieve a finisher medal.
ITINERARY:
SATURDAY MAY 25th-
7:30 AM - Half Marathon Early Start(Early Starters not eligible for overall awards)
8:00 AM - Half Marathon Start/5 Mile/5K Start
9:00 AM - Hurricane Hustle Kids 1 Mile Fun Run (12 and under and free)
Noon- We will have a 4 hr cutoff time(which means race coordinators will make our way to lunch) and invite all to lunch at Blythe Cricket and then to the wonderful Wallowa County Farmers Market at Stein Distillery's Parking Lot on the north side of Joseph.
Time TBD - Post Race Yoga at Joseph City Park or at The Place if inclement weather. Taught by Esther of Salutations Studio.

Course Description
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Half Marathon - This is an out and back, hilly and challenging Half marathon Course. It starts at 4200 ft elevation at Joseph City Park and climbs to a mile high at 5100 ft. The first 3 miles are paved, the next 6 miles are all maintained dirt road surface, and then last 3 are paved. This could be one of the most scenic half marathons in the Northwest with constant views of the Wallowa Mountains, Eagle Cap Wilderness, Seven Devils, and High Valleys. There will be an aid station at the Grange Mile 3ish and 10ish. Another water station at the Hurricane Creek Trailhead at mile 6.5.
5 Mile - This is an out and back road run. It covers the first 2.5 Miles of the Half Marathon Course.
5K - This course is an out and back road run. It covers the first 1.55 miles of the Half Marathon course.
