Description

Join us on March 19th for our remake of the MCW Spring Flowers and Fun 5k/10k. We are moving this 5k/10k race to the Rutgers Ecological Preserve in Piscataway, NJ, only 20 minutes away from its original home.
Bring your kids! We are now hosting a .5 mile kids fun run. Any ages welcomed! Parents are invited to accompany and help if they think needed.
Participants of the 10k will complete the 5k loop twice.

What to expect? This is a great intro to trail racing as the trails are well maintained with a few big hills for added challenge. Experienced trail runners can use this as a tune-up and look in pacing strategies.

Hikers are welcomed too! Bring the family and enjoy a beautiful march day.

Who is MissionCleanWater?

MissionCleanWater is a 501c3 nonprofit organization working to bring clean drinking water and sanitation to underserved communities both domestically and internationally.
We focus on the fact that 60% of all clean water projects in Africa have failed and that our communities in our NJ backyard are without clean water. We work every day on the ground with communities to develop a solution together. Through community relationship building, training, and long-term involvement, we want to fully maximize the investment in clean water and bring out its full potential.

Our team has been involved with the trail running community both as a hobby and professionally. We want to develop new race experiences that challenge runners to be more engaged, think on their feet, and work together. From these races, registration will act as a donation going towards our clean water efforts.

FAQs

What is the route? The route will be marked with fluorescent flagging. Where there might be turns, the flagging will be marked heavily. We do recommend everyone become familiar with the route before the race begins.

Are there Hydration Stations? Yes! At the start and finish of the race will be a hydration station and snacks! Yum!

How is my registration used? 100% of your registration is used towards our clean water initiatives. It will specifically be used for an upcoming project in Uganda as well as a clean water solution for Paterson New Jersey.
