Description

Join us on June 11th for our first annual Vat Race for Hope. This super sprint triathlon is a great way to start off the summer season with a fun event while providing much needed support to families with heart children!
You or your children or maybe all of you are welcome to attend and try your skills in a short, but challenging event! Any and all ages welcomed!

What to expect? This is a great intro to triathlon racing as the swim portion is conducted in the beautiful, heated, competition pool of Vitale Aquatic & Tennis. The bike portion will follow 2 miles of winding, hilly and scenic roadway up to the Home of the Colonels; the Ledyard High School newly, renovated track where you will sprint to the finish and feel great about helping other families!

Race Breakdown

9:00 am: Participant arrival and check in
10:00 am: Race start



The race consists of a 500 yard swim, a 2 mile bike ride and a 1.25 mile run.

Whether you participate as an individual or a team, come out and have fun all while supporting families with children with congenital heart defects.
We encourage families to participate together!

FAQs

What is the route? The route will be marked with fluorescent flagging. Where there might be turns, the flagging will be marked heavily. We do recommend everyone become familiar with the route before the race begins.
Are there Hydration Stations? Yes! At the start and finish of the race will be a hydration station and snacks! Yum!
How is my registration used? All of the profits from this event will go towards helping families of children with congenital heart defects.
