Race Information
New for 2022, Aravaipa has partnered with The Pikes Peak APEX presented by RockShox on Sunday, September 25 to invite runners to participate in their choice of three distance options, all starting and finishing in America the Beautiful Park on the final day, which features The APEX Outdoor Festival & Expo. Start times will be announced as we get closer to the event.
50K
The 50k course will start and finish in America the Beautiful Park. Runners head into Cheyenne Canyon and follow a similar route as Stage 4 of The APEX 4-day MTB challenge! You can expect this route to have approximately 4,200 feet of climbing. The map is available on the APEX website!
Included with Registration:

Cut-Offs: 50k runners will have 10 hours to finish the entire course. Aid station cut-offs will be posted closer to the event.
10K
10k runners will also start in America the Beautiful Park and head into Bear Creek Regional Park for a trail loop before returning to the finish line. Bear Creek offers dirt trails and approximately 500 feet of climbing.

5K
5k runners will head up the Pikes Peak Greenway for a speedy out-and-back. This is a fast course for those who want to run hard, as well as a great beginner course for those who want to have fun and be a part of the festivities. The 5k course is family and stroller friendly!

-A fun, short race with plenty of time to enjoy the festival!
-Hydration station at the halfway turnaround
-Medical support
-Swag bag with APEX t-shirt and sponsor items
-Beer (21+) tickets for The APEX After Party
Awards
Awards go to the top three male and female finishers at each distance. All finishers receive a finisher award.
Limitations
Due to concerns about physical distancing and trail usage, we are limited to 175 Ultra entries.
