What is Adventure Challenge?
Adventure Challenge is a ruck event where participants, in addition to rucking, are required to complete challenges using basic survival skills. Participants have the choice of a 3, 6, 12, or 24 hour challenge. The longer the duration the more difficult the tasks.
What is Rucking?
The definition can be as simple as walking around with a backpack on a hike or as difficult as moving fast with all your gear, over rugged terrain, infiltrating to your objective. But the terms ruck, hump or forced march all really mean getting your gear from A to B in a backpack. In the terms of Adventure Challenge, rucking means using a backpack loaded with all your supplies to travel the distance that you have selected. Please note: Parts of this challenge take place on roads, both urban and rural, and occurs after nightfall. You will be responsible for your own safety.
What are the event distances?
The ruck course takes place in and around the city of Jackson, MO. There will be a series of loops which all center around Old Orchard Fitness. Participants may use Old Orchard Fitness as a base camp to rest, refill drinks, and use the restroom. Note: There are NO aid stations on the course and there is NO outside assistance allowed once the participant has left Old Orchard Fitness.
