Race Description
The Fox on the Run is a 10 mile and a 5 mile trail race that starts and finishes near the Turkey Springs Guard Station. The 5 mile race course follows the single track loop of the Turkey Springs Trail (301) around the Turkey Springs Guard Station. The 10 mile race course follows the 5 mile race course but adds an out and back loop on the Turkey Springs Trail, Newt Jack Road, and the Park Avenue trail. You'll enjoy a few tasty climbs and some fun downhill descents with amazing views of Pagosa Peak.

Directions to Start/Finish Line
Due to a road closure, these are the directions to follow. From Highway 160, travel north on North Pagosa Blvd for 7.2 miles. Turn left onto Piedra Rd (CR 600) and travel 0.6 miles. The paved road is now a gravel road. Turn left onto Turkey Springs Road (USFS Road 629) and travel 3.25 miles. Your destination will be on the right. Per the USFS, all vehicles must turn around and park on Turkey Springs Road, facing the direction you will leave back to Piedra Road. Signs will be posted on the NO PARKING side.
The Start/Finish Line is a 0.25 mile walk down Road 629.B which is also known as the Guard Station Road. There is NO driving on the Guard Station Road except for race officials.
Packet Pickup
Runners can pick up their packets near the start/finish line on Race Day from 7:00 am - 7:45 am. Each runner will receive race schwag, and a sports bag filled with snacks and discount offers from our local partners.

Standard (July 1 to July 18)
5 Mile - $50.00
10 Mile – $75.00
Race Day - Saturday, July 20 (cash only)
5 Mile - $60.00
10 Mile – $85.00
Entry fee is non-refundable and nontransferable.
Entry fees include: race schwag, custom sports pack with snacks and discount offers from our local partners, aid station and finish line goodies, awards to top male and female winners, and chip timed results.
Race Morning Schedule
-> Race Day Registration: 7:00-7:45 am (cash only)
-> Packet Pick-Up: 7:00-7:45 am
-> Course Briefing: 7:50 am
-> Race Start for 5 Milers: 8:00 am
-> Race Start for 10 Milers: 8:10 am
-> Awards and Giveaways: 11:00 am or as soon as all runners for each race have finished
Refunds
If we are forced to cancel or postpone the event, runners will receive a transfer to any Wolf Song Running Adventures event. No refunds will be issued.
