ABOUT THE EVENT

Come join Run Wild, Inc. for the first Black Rock Forest Run in the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum and Black Rock Forest in Cornwall, NY!! This hilly and challenging course will you send up to amazing vistas and past scenic lakes using mostly singletrack and some forest roads. This is a fundraiser to support the Black Rock Forest and Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, as well as Run Wild's nonprofit land conservation mission. The race starts at 8 am in the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum property and climbs a ridge to the Black Rock Forest. Runners will then do a mostly clockwise perimeter loop of Black Rock Forest, hitting most of the peaks and scenic features before retracing their steps downhill to the finish at Hudson Highlands Nature Museum. There is about 2500 ft of gain for this race, and the trails are moderately technical to runnable when you get to the carriage roads. The overall cutoff is 6 hrs. A 25% discount is available for military veterans and first responders; just select the "military" pricing.
